Ben Wheeler is a co-founder and principal at Bluedot. A senior marine biologist and regulatory strategist with 25+ years’ experience, he’s advised on many of Canada’s largest marine projects across all three coasts, spanning ports, mining, energy, and renewables. Ben helped launch the Port of Vancouver’s ECHO program for Southern Resident killer whales and has served on the Eastern Arctic Bowhead Whale Recovery Team. He’s known for creative solutions to de-risk approvals and for mentoring high-performing teams. In his downtime, Ben enjoys mountain biking, spending time at his cabin, and fixing up cars with his son.
